On Highway 1

(Click each pic--it's really slick.)

Pacifica Peace People gathered June 15 to honor the memory of American troops and innocent Iraqi civilians killed in the U.S. occupation of Iraq. The rally took place in front of Denny's, Highway 1 at Linda Mar Blvd. Response from passing motorists was mostly positive, with waves, smiles, peace signs, thumbs up, and honks.

Pacifica Peace People held it's regular monthly vigil from 6-7 on August 17th. Then we stayed to participate with more than 1,500 groups across the country in support of Cindy Sheehan. We stood for more than two hours with nearly 100 people from all over our community. The support from people walking and driving by was amazing.

Pacifica Peace People stand 40 strong, in spite of freezing winds, to protest the President's escalation of the Iraq war.
